Songs From Zimbabwe

THE WORKSHOP

This one day singing workshop will be lead by singer and song sharer Bruce Ncube. Bruce is a Zimbabwean artist who specialises in teaching traditional songs from Zimbabwe in 3 to 6-part harmonies.

The songs and harmonies that he teaches are emotionally charged and uplifting, designed to build participants confidence with singing. His method of teaching is the traditional oral/aural way and is reminiscent of when people would gather around a fire in the evenings, or whilst working in the fields and start weaving harmonies.

Bruce’s workshops are inclusive and participatory, and you don’t need to be experienced in singing to take part. This workshop is also open to men and women, all voices welcome!

WHAT TO BRING

You will need to bring your own lunch with you. Drinks and refreshments will be provided.

PARKING

There is parking on Broad Street outside the venue in Stamford. If this is busy the nearest public car park is on North Street. Both of these will be free of charge on a Sunday

BOOKING AND COST 

The cost for the workshop is £45. Please complete the booking form below to book a space. Payment details will be sent over to you on booking so do look our for a confirmation email and check your spam folder in case it get’s filtered into there.
