Summer Solstice Outdoor Singing Circle
Join us for a special outdoor singing circle in celebration of the Summer Solstice, as we gather in a beautiful woodland glade to honour the longest day of the year and the height of the sun’s power.
The Summer Solstice has been celebrated for thousands of years as a time of abundance, gratitude and connection to the natural world. It marks the peak of the growing season, when the land is flourishing, the days are at their longest, and we are invited to pause and celebrate the fullness of life.
This year we are delighted to extend our gathering to include an optional shared meal before our singing circle and the opportunity to stay overnight for a simple, nearly wild camping experience beneath the stars.
We will meet at Halstead Hill Farm before walking together to our woodland glade. Nestled amongst the trees, we will share gentle, uplifting a cappella singing — learning beautiful medicine songs by ear, weaving simple harmonies and allowing our voices to blend with the sounds of the natural world. The singing will be followed by light refreshments using fruits and herbs from the farm and time for connecting with the land and each other.
No singing experience is needed — just a willingness to use your voice and be part of the circle.
For those who may find the walk difficult, transport will be available to the singing location. This will be limited to two people, so please request transport on booking and book early to avoid disappointment.
Camping Information
For those wishing to stay overnight, camping at Halstead Hill Farm is a simple, nearly wild camping experience for tents only. The emphasis is very much on being immersed in nature and enjoying the peace and beauty of the land.
Facilities are intentionally minimal and include access to cold water, a sink and a compost toilet. There are no showers, electric hook-ups or other campsite amenities.
If you’re looking for a back-to-nature experience, a chance to sleep beneath the stars and wake to birdsong, this is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, reconnect with the natural world and enjoy the magic of midsummer in a truly rural setting.
